I planned, prepared and led Jehu’s Cape Town conference, bringing supplier costings, production and delegate logistics together from arrival to the gala dinner.

Plan the whole journey.

I planned, prepared and delivered Jehu's involvement in the Busamed Pharmacy and Nursing Collaboration conference. The programme brought hospital department leaders together for professional discussion, product education and shared activities in Cape Town.

My responsibility extended beyond what happened inside the conference room. Accommodation, airport reception, transfers, branded materials, the programme and the closing gala needed to work as one experience for the delegates and the delivery team.

Turn requirements into a practical plan.

I worked through accommodation requirements and promotional item costings early in the preparation. Quantities, print methods, artwork placement and setup charges were organised into an ordering checklist, connecting creative choices to production requirements.

The preparation also defined what had to travel. Banners, display kits, samples, folders, tote bags and registration materials were grouped for dispatch and setup. That level of detail made the visual work usable on site: every item needed a destination, a purpose and a place in the team's schedule.

Make the arrival feel considered.

The delegate journey began at the airport. The team plan connected registration, bag tags, room information, luggage handling and hotel arrivals. I worked with the team receiving delegates, including the second arrival group, while welcome materials were placed in their rooms.

The invitation, programme and branded delegate materials gave the experience a consistent identity. They supported the practical information while making the event feel like a connected programme.

Make the delegate materials work together.

The folder and branded clothing extend the same identity beyond the invitation. These archived layouts and mockups show artwork placement and production preparation; they are not photographs of the delivered event.

The programme translates a busy itinerary into a repeated, scannable layout: day and date on one side, activities on the other. The archived version makes that design approach visible.

A five page design stage programme uses a repeated day panel to separate arrival, conference sessions and departure. This earlier version differs from the final staff schedule; it is shown as design development, not the final timetable.

Carry the plan through delivery.

The delivery schedule covered the team's early arrival, overnight setup at CTICC, daily conference transfers, the closing gala, breakdown and return travel. Conference sessions ran on 20 to 22 October, with delegates arriving on the 19th and departing on the 23rd.

The conference was followed by increased sales, a qualitative outcome reported for the programme. Event specific figures remain unverified. It also demonstrates the way I work: connecting the customer experience with the budgets, suppliers, people and production details needed to deliver it.
