NeoTouch heel lancets

I brought the NeoTouch identity, depth and length information, and illustrated instructions into one packaging system, then extended it into product communication.

Packaging & variants.

NeoTouch brings a softer product identity to neonatal heel lancet packaging. The Preemie carton balances a clear device illustration with age group naming, incision measurements and an illustrated use sequence.

Decisions, shown in the artwork.

The Preemie pack needs to communicate both a distinct NeoTouch identity and two different measurements in a shallow horizontal format. Detailed illustrated information has to remain connected to that identity without crowding the main face.

  1. Create a product name within the parent family

NeoTouch has the strongest typographic emphasis, while Precision Point remains above it. Navy and the geometric line pattern connect the pack with the wider family without giving both names equal prominence.

  2. Label the two measurements separately

The lower strip divides Preemie, incision depth and incision length into individual cells. Writing out the measurement names makes the meaning of 0.85 mm and 1.75 mm explicit.

  3. Use the device as the colour anchor

The orange illustration provides a recognisable product cue against the navy and white layout. The same orange device continues into the six step inner panel and the brochure.

Different information needs different space.

The front is organised around recognition and specifications. The inner panel gives the illustrated sequence a separate reading surface, while the current brand brochure carries the product identity and measurements into the wider range.

From design to manufacturer handoff.

Carton artwork, an inner instruction panel and an outer carton show the identity being adapted for several packaging surfaces. The physical layout follows the supplied net.

Format constraint
A wide, shallow front requires a horizontal hierarchy. The portfolio model preserves source proportions; an unverified manufactured size is not assigned.
Detail allocation
Specifications stay on the front; the six step illustrated sequence has its own inner panel, with each image paired to its caption.
Manufacturer handoff
The source includes a range specification table, reference fields and a coordinated shipping carton. The public case focuses on the completed Preemie presentation.

Design review · a next refinement

The next proof review would check the small measurement labels and instruction captions at their actual printed size. The clear separation is visible in the artwork; readability under working conditions would need to be tested.

From carton to product brochure.

The orange product image is the visual anchor. The current brand brochure gives NeoTouch its own product page within the Precision Point range, with depth and length clearly separated. The inner panel shows the same attention to reading order in a smaller format.
